Cybersecurity clusters across the UK and Europe are rapidly becoming essential foundations in the continent’s defence technology arena. As geopolitical tensions rise and cyber threats grow more sophisticated, investment in cyber-defence capabilities has never been more vital.
The capabilities of cyber clusters are not just for national security, but also to power and boost broader industrial and economic development.
Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP said:
Cyber is the frontline of modern defence. By investing in cyber clusters, we will strengthen our national resilience to cyber threats. They serve as accelerators for new defence technologies, from AI-enabled threat detection systems to secure communications infrastructure.
Investment in cyber clusters will also create jobs and nurture world-class talent in the UK. Cyber clusters have the potential to lay the groundwork for long-term economic prosperity by protecting and securing our economy from cyber attacks.
