Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst, Member of Parliament for Solihull West & Shirley, welcomed Springpod to the Houses of Parliament for a reception celebrating their vital work in supporting young people to explore and pursue career opportunities.
Springpod is a pioneering organisation committed to expanding access to high-quality virtual work experience programmes. Through innovative collaborations with leading employers and educational institutions, including a successful partnership with Solihull College, Springpod empowers young people with the tools, insights, and inspiration they need to navigate the world of work.
Their mission is clear: to ensure that every young person, regardless of background, has the opportunity to discover potential career paths, gain critical workplace skills, and make informed decisions about their future.
The Parliamentary Reception provided an opportunity for parliamentarians, educators, and stakeholders to learn more about Springpod’s initiatives. Attendees had the chance to engage with Springpod’s immersive virtual work experience programmes and see firsthand how these resources can benefit young people in constituencies across the country.
Speaking after the event, Dr Shastri-Hurst said:
“I was honoured to host Springpod in Parliament today. As the Member of Parliament for Solihull West & Shirley, I am committed to ensuring that young people have access to the skills, opportunities, and experiences they need to thrive.
Springpod’s work offers young people not only the chance to learn a trade or explore a profession, but also the invaluable confidence and sense of purpose that comes from mastering a skillset. Their efforts are not only transformative for individuals, they also strengthen our communities and boost our local economies.”
Dr Shastri-Hurst continues to advocate for educational innovation and skills development to ensure that every young person can access a bright and ambitious future.
