On Tuesday 13th January 2026, Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP introduced his Ten Minute Rule Bill Motion, Emergency and Life-saving Skill (Schools) Bill. 

The aim of the Bill is to enhance societal resilience through ensuring everyone leaves school with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to intervene as a member of the public to save a life from serious injury.
