Sunday 4th May saw Malvern Park come alive with colour, flavour, and community spirit, as the Digbeth Dining Club Tour arrived in Solihull. Among the many enjoying the festivities was Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP, who joined local families, small businesses, and music lovers for an unforgettable day out.
From sizzling street food to the vibrant beats of local DJs, the event was a shining example of the best of British community life: entrepreneurial spirit, shared celebration, and open, welcoming spaces for all – including our four-legged friends.
Speaking after the event, Dr Shastri-Hurst said:
It was fantastic to see such a celebration of local enterprise and community energy here in Solihull. Events like this not only showcase our area’s vibrancy but also support the independent traders and producers who are the backbone of our economy. This was localism in action: bringing people together, championing talent, and making our public spaces hubs of shared enjoyment.
With a mouth-watering lineup of food vendors, the afternoon was a feast for the senses. Families, friends, and visitors from across the region gathered to experience what has become one of the Midlands’ most loved street food tours.
As Dr Shastri-Hurst noted, the success of events like these speaks volumes about what can be achieved when communities are supported, local enterprise is empowered, and pride of place is put front and centre.
