Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst, Member of Parliament for Solihull West & Shirley, was delighted to join families, teachers, and young performers for an uplifting afternoon of choral music at the Solihull Choir Festival, held in Theatre Square at Touchwood.
The festival, a cherished celebration of community spirit, creativity, and togetherness, brings together youth choirs and school groups from across the region. With voices raised in harmony and hearts full of joy, the event showcases not only musical talent but the enduring power of the arts to unite and inspire.
Reflecting on the event, Dr Shastri-Hurst said:
It was a real pleasure to hear the wonderful performances by pupils from St. Margaret's Primary and Monkspath Primary — both schools from my own constituency.
The Solihull Choir Festival is more than just a musical celebration; it is a reminder of the strength found in community, the importance of nurturing creativity in young people, and the joy that shared experiences can bring. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Anya and her dedicated team for their passion and commitment in bringing this fantastic event to life.
The festival continues throughout the weekend, with a full programme of performances available online: https://www.solihullchoirfestival.co.uk/schedule
