Protect Post Office Services in Solihull town centre

Neil at the Royal Mail Sorting Office in Shirley.

I am deeply concerned by the news that the Post Office branch located within the TG Jones store in Solihull Town Centre is due to close on 11 July 2026.

A Post Office in the heart of Solihull remains an essential service for many residents, local businesses and visitors. From banking and bill payments to parcels and pension services, many people rely on convenient access to face-to-face support in the town centre.

To help demonstrate the level of local demand for these services, I am launching this community survey and petition. I want to hear directly from residents, businesses, and town centre users about how important a centrally located Post Office is to them and the services they use most frequently.

The strength of local support will help make the case for maintaining a Post Office presence in Solihull Town Centre and securing an alternative location following the planned closure.

I stand ready to work constructively with the Post Office and relevant partners to help identify a suitable alternative site in Solihull Town Centre.

Please complete the survey below.
